Semi-permanent color Frequently
How Long will the colors last on my hair?
It's not possible to accurately determine how long a color will last on each person's hair -it depends on how damaged your hair is the starting color of your hair, and how bright /dark of a color you're using. Generally special effects will last 4-6 weeks and will not rinse complexly out of bleached or ligh hair.
How Light Can a Semi-Permanent Color Make My Hair?
Semi-Permanent colors do not lighten hair. Only a hair color that contains peroxide or a bleach can lighten hair.
Think of semi-Permanent color as cellophane, generally it just darkened whatever's underearth or adds vibrant color, but doesn't lighten (yellow cellophane and other bright opaque colors do not figure into this analogy)
I've bleached / streaked / colored my hair before; how long will this take to rinse out?
Like the above lasting question, its anyone's guess. But the more chemical treatment your hair has been through, generally the longer the color will last.
Sometimes you will find that your hair is so damaged that color doesn't stick well in your hair. In that case, you will need to grab something from a beauty supply called porosity control, or prefill. This gives semi-Permanent dye something to 'stick to' and will improve your results if your hair is to damage to take in color well.
